Enemy? Friend? (敵か？仲間か？ Teki ka? Nakama ka??) is the sixteenth episode of Madan Senki Ryukendo. It features the debut of Rock Crimson and Twin Edge GekiRyuKen.
Synopsis
The Urban Safety and Security Bureau has begun investigating the past of Koichi Shiranami, who has transformed into a Black Warrior, RyuJinOu. On the other hand, the Akebono Tower is bent sharply, and the enemy's new executive, Rock Crimson appears. RyuKenDo and RyuGunOu challenge the fight but struggle in the face of a ferocious attack. I need a new key to defeat the enemy, which I had to bring to the Power Spot and adjust it. Fudou who is full of scratches takes the risk and heads to the Power Spot!!
Plot
Amachi finds records of mysterious Black Madan Warrior fighting Jamanga in Italy, Greece and England. Professor Mikuriya commented that this Black Madan Warrior was stirring up trouble in Europe and then disappear suddenly. Amachi wonder if the stolen Madan Ryu Core is also related to him but didn't get a response from Professor Mikuriya due to this incident being top secret. Amachi commented that if they have the Madan Ryu Core, they will be able to restore GekiRyuKen and most of the other equipment. Amachi added that this Black Madan Warrior appeared a short time after the Madan Ryu Core was stolen was a coincidence.
A gigantic spherical rock ball crashes in Akebono Tower during the night. The next morning, Kenji and Fudou went to the scene and investigate and deduce that this must be the work of Jamanga. In Jamanga's Base, Doctor Worm also wonder the one who did this must be very powerful. Before Kenji can investigate the large circular rock, it suddenly shoots up the sky and transforming into the Jamanga's General, Rock Crimson. RyuKenDo and RyuGunOu are sent to fight it but are overpowered due to "Enhanced Durability" of Rock Crimson. Still, RyuKenDo and RyuGunOu doesnt give up and continues to fight. Rock Crimson transform back to his rock ball form and attacks the Madan Warriors. RyuKenDo does not give up and continues to fight but is badly injured.
Back in Jamanga's base, Doctor Worm is so happy to see Rock Crimson. Rock Crimson's behavior of being silent is something that Doctor Worm can trust unlike some people who just talk. Suddenly, Lady Gold appears on Doctor Worm's pedestal and question who is the person that Doctor Worm is talking about. Lady Gold wonders if Rock Crimson is too generous to let Madan Warriors flee in battle. Rock Crimson commented that he just finished with his greeting, but Lady Gold replied that Rock Crimson just didn't have the confidence to beat them, causing Rock Crimson to be angry. In S.H.O.T.'s Base, Fudou asked Setoyama on Kenji's condition. Setoyama replied that he was sleeping as he was beaten pretty badly. Rin added that Fudou should also be resting as well. Fudou replied that he is fine but most importantly, they need to plan on how to deal with Rock Crimson when he appears again.
Setoyama commented that this is nothing but troubles with the appearance of Black Madan Warrior then powerful Jamanga General appearing one after another. Rin asked if he have any new weapons to deal with this situation. Setoyama replies that it's not easy but Fudou agreed with Rin that upcoming battles will be more tough so it will be good if they can improve their equipment somehow. Setoyama shared that he has trouble tuning a Madan Key without the great power from Power Spot. Setoyama deduces that this Madan Key seems to be for RyuKenDo but he doesn't know anything else as this is the first time that he has such problems with a key. Fudou wonders if the key possesses great power, but Setoyama is unable to provide an answer since he doesn't know what will happen at the Power Spot.
Fudou requested Setoyama to hand him the key with Rin responded that it's too dangerous for Fudou due to his condition. On their way to Power Spot, GouRyuGun asked Fudou why he didn't let Kenji go instead as it's his key. Fudou replied that he can't go in his condition, but GouRyuGun replied that Fudou is not in perfect condition either. Fudou transforms into RyuGunOu and enters Power Spot. Meanwhile, Rock Crimson attacks again, with only an injured RyuKenDo to fight him. In Power Spot, RyuGunOu asked for directions to the location and encounter Tsukaimas and started to fight them. Kenji transforms into RyuKenDo to fight Rock Crimson. At S.H.O.T.'s HQ, Professor Mikuriya and Amachi is also monitoring the battle and they noticed Shiranami standing on a hill. They zoom the screen and notice a necklace wore by him.
RyuGunOu defeated all Tsukaimas and headed towards Power Spot. Setoyama detected tremendous energy from the Power Spot and instruct RyuGunOu to place the key in Power Spot. Before he can do that, RyuGunOu is blocked by Samurai Tsukaima. Shiranami commented that RyuKenDo's fight is awful with ZanRyuJin commented that he is at his limits. Shiranami transforms into RyuJinOu and joins the fight. RyuGunOu defeated Samurai Tsukaima and proceed to place the Madan Key in Power Spot to complete the tuning by chanting the spells mentioned by Setoyama. However, Samurai Tsukaima wakes up and proceed to strangle RyuGunOu to drag him away from Power Spot, but RyuGunOu continues to chant the spell, trying to complete the tuning of Madan Key. With the tuning of Madan Key completed, it is revealed to be Dagger Key. RyuGunOu landed a blow on Samurai Tsukaima and defeated it. After that, RyuGunOu takes the Madan Key and heads back.
Rock Crimson failed to land any attacks on RyuJinOu with him commenting Rock Crimson being an idiot. This causes Rock Crimson to be angry and transform back to his rock ball form and rolls around but being dodged by Madan Warriors. Rock Crimson in rock ball form proceed to create havoc with RyuKenDo questing RyuJinOu why he didn't finish Rock Crimson. RyuJinOu replied that he is not stupid to face an out-of-control car, just ignore him for a bit and Rock Crimson will run out of gas. RyuKenDo argued that people will get hurt before he stops but RyuJinOu replied that it's not his problem and added that what's important isn't how one fight, it's what one can do to definitely win.
RyuKenDo is angry at his comments and proceed to run after Rock Crimson in an attempt to block him but failed. Fudou reached out to RyuKenDo and hand him the new Madan Key. RyuKenDo commented to Fudou that he is so reckless, but Fudou replied that RyuKenDo becoming stronger is for their sake as well. With the new Dagger Key ready, RyuKenDo use it to summon the Madan Dagger. Madan Dagger is true to its name, being a dagger itself. Madan Dagger generates a seal on the display with Setoyama asked RyuKenDo to point the seal displaying on Madan Dagger towards Rock Crimson. The seal went towards Rock Crimson and reverted him back to his original form.
Rock Crimson is angry at RyuKenDo for reverting him back and went to attack him. RyuKenDo initiate the ability of Madan Dagger which is Dagger Spiral Chain to create seals to lock Rock Crimson from moving. Before RyuKenDo can initiate his finishing move, GekiRyuKen suddenly combines with Madan Dagger to become Twin Edge GekiRyuKen. Using the edge of Madan Dagger, RyuKenDo landed a critical attack on Rock Crimson and activates his finish move, Super Final Crush by using Final Key. With the attack, Rock Crimson is slice into two and crumble into pieces. Rin commented that Madan Dagger is a really amazing weapon with Setoyama added that the canon characters that flew from the dagger let him know that Madan Dagger might be one of the keys to undo some seal. Lady Gold laugh at the conclusion of the battle and commented that Rock Crimson only knows how to talk but Doctor Worm commented that it's not over yet, Lady Gold will understand Rock Crimson's true power eventually.
With Rock Crimson's remains left behind, Kenji and Fudou is seen leaving the scene. Kenji commented that Fudou is pretty beaten up, but Fudou replied the same to Kenji. They noticed Shiranami was waiting at a corner. Fudou uses the chance and asked if he is a member of S.H.O.T. but get denied. Fudou followed up with a question on how Shiranami is able to transform if he is not a member of S.H.O.T. Shiranami replied that he created that to defeat the demons but Kenji and Fudou refuse to believe that. Shiranami commented that it's not his problem if they don't believe and walks away. Fudou stopped Shiranami that they have a common goal of defeating the Jamanga and wish to work together to achieve that. Kenji is surprised at Fudou's suggestion with Shiranami rejected that idea as well as he thinks that S.H.O.T. is "...". Fudou is also curious on what is Shiranami is saying about S.H.O.T. but Shiranami refuse to continue the sentence and commented that they will know someday and walks away.
The scene ended with Rock Crimson's remains glowing, hinting that Rock Crimson will be back.

- It is summoned using the Dagger Key. Using Dagger Spiral Chain, it can stop the enemy's movement. In addition, it can also undo some seal but its ability is unknown at the moment.
